How can a participatory design process be successful? Is it enough to gather people for a brainstorming session at the beginning of a project? Or let them vote at the end?
That’s the bare minimum. But the participatory part of the project needs to be guided in an iterative way to include opinions and expertise of all the participants without becoming chaotic or have a result that tries to please everyone.

Empreint d’une forte dimension participative depuis ses débuts, le projet Kufa’s Urban Art Esch a organisé une conférence sur l’art et le design fonctionnels et participatifs, le mercredi 30 juin 2021 à 19h dans la grande salle de la Kulturfabrik.
Dans l’art et le design participatifs, l’artiste donne à ses créations une utilité pratique et les intègre ainsi pleinement à la vie quotidienne. Cette rencontre a été l’occasion de s’interroger sur l’équilibre entre l’esthétique et la fonction que peuvent prendre des créations artistiques. Plusieurs artistes, designers et chercheurs se sont penchés sur la thématique de l’art fonctionnel dans une dimension participative.
