A chair that balances durability with the freedom to explore different materials and styles. The minimalist, sturdy wooden structure acts as a loom for interchangeable seats in high quality natural or reclaimed materials, attached using knotting, weaving, and plug-in assembly—without glue or screws.

This approach ensures longevity, sustainability, and versatility, while allowing the seat to be changed without damaging the structure, preserving the chair’s integrity and leaving room for new creations.

The choice of material and technique defines its purpose—whether as a lounge chair for relaxation or as a sturdy seating option, seamlessly fitting into permanent or temporary homes and offices.

A SHARED DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
The loom chair project is woven from a shared vision by Luxembourgish designer Julie Conrad and German carpenter Norbert Brakonier. We set out to honour materials in their purest, most natural form and to carry traditional local craftsmanship into the present.

•Built to last. Designed to evolve.
•No glue, no screws – the structure stays scratch-free when the seat is changed
•Sustainable choices – reclaimed or natural materials
•Designed in Luxembourg, crafted in Germany – with care and local know-how
•Modular for life – lounge or upright, for homes or offices
